Andrew Scott - President

Andrew F. Scott, the Owner of AFScott, LLC, founded the firm in 2000 and has over 15 years experience in the technology field. Prior to founding AFScott, Andrew was a technician for an IT company in Boston. Based upon his desire to run his own IT company that would offer technical expertise as well as outstanding customer service, he moved back to his home state of New Jersey and launched AFScott. During the early years of AFScott’s existence, Andrew was one of the lead techs. With the hiring of additional exceptionally qualified techs, Andrew has recently begun to pull away from the hands-on tech services and concentrate on business expansion. Andrew currently resides in Bernardsville with his wife and three children.

Andrew received a BA degree from St. Lawrence University in 1996. In addition, he holds the following professional certifications: Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and Checkpoint Certified Systems Administrator.

Andrew’s vision for AFScott is to continue our growth as a provider of unparalleled technological support with a focus on personalized client service. While remote support can often be used to meet the needs of our clients, we believe strongly in offering on-site support in order to get to know and understand our client’s day-to-day technology needs. This allows our team to recommend the technological solutions that will allow our clients to operate with the utmost efficiency and productivity.

Steuart Ellsworth – Lead Technology Coordinator

Lead Technology Coordinator Steuart graduated from Chubb Institute in July of 1997. In August of 1997, he joined NUI Corporation as a Helpdesk Technician and rapidly advanced to a Senior Network Engineer. In June of 2003, he left NUI Corporation to form his own IT company, Computer Technology Partners, which provided technology services and consulting for multiple clients.

In February of 2007, Steuart joined AFScott and has provided our clients with invaluable expertise in configuring and maintaining their computer infrastructure.

Eric Mahafzeh - Lead Enterprise Technician

Eric Mahafzeh, an IT consultant, has spent fourteen years working on Wall Street in the IT industry. Eric worked his way up from an IT technician to become the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the largest privately held Specialist firm on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). As the CTO, Eric was the lead architect and network engineer for what later became known as the NYSE Hybrid System. This system is a revolutionary high-speed fiber optic network, which allows trades to be executed in sub-milliseconds, ensuring the investor receives the fastest connection and the best price. As a result, the System has allowed the NYSE to compete against other electronic exchanges such as the NASDAQ and Archipelago (ARCA), and has now become the standard way of trading on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

Before creating high-speed Systems for the New York Stock Exchange, Eric attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Rutgers University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, respectively. In addition, he attained an MBA in Technology Management from Pace University, holds a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and is a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

Eric Mahafzeh continues to be an avid Technologist and envisions himself as a part of a fast growing, innovative IT company, which caters to many industries and utilizes the latest computer hardware and software, such as AFScott.

Peter Ganzenmuller – Senior Technician

Peter has worked at AFScott since 2002 as a network engineer, support specialist, and consultant.  Prior to that, he led the business office at an independent school in New York City.  He has worked in technical, teaching, and finance positions during his professional career.  Peter graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering.

John Keegan – Technician, Apple Certified

John Keegan is one of AFScott’s leading technicians with 12 years of experience in the technology field. He has been with the company just under a year. John is an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician. He has an extensive background in Apple devices and their operating systems. He also holds considerable knowledge in virtualization, which is rapidly transforming the IT landscape. He has attended NJIT, and University of Arizona, and is currently completing a BS in Information Technology with a focus in Business Systems Analysis at The University of Phoenix. Before his employment at AFScott, John has served as a technician and consultant for various local IT companies in Hackettstown, NJ.  He resides in Great Meadows with his wife and black lab puppy.

Derrick Hitt – Technician & Head of Purchasing

Derrick Hitt, a New Jersey Native, began his career with AFScott in 2008.  Prior to joining AFScott, Derrick ran his own contracting business while attending Anthem Institute for Network Engineering.  In addition to his formal education, Derrick has had extensive Microsoft training and holds an A+ certification in both software and hardware.  In his current role, Derrick heads AFScott's purchasing department for both its New York and New Jersey Offices, ensuring that clients are given the most competitive solutions to meet their hardware and software objectives.  Derrick also serves as a technology consultant on a majority of AFScott's New Jersey accounts.

Linda Maffei – Accounting Manager

Linda Maffei, the Accounting Manager of AFScott, LLC, has over 25 years experience in accounting and bookkeeping. Linda received a BS degree in Accounting, cum laude, from Seton Hall University in 1986. She began her career as a staff accountant in the auditing department at KPMG Peat Marwick. In 1990, she became the Accounting Manager for The BDS Group, a large real estate development company in Morris County, NJ. Linda has extensive experience in various accounting software packages. She joined AFScott in 2010, where her responsibilities include managing all bookkeeping and accounting functions. Linda resides in Mendham with her husband and 4 children.
